Del Ray Farm Aquaponics employs state-of-the-art heating, cooling, and solar technology that helps to reduce our carbon footprint and grow produce more economically. A large portion of the electricity in the greenhouse is supplied by 24 solar photovoltaic panels running parallel to the greenhouse.
Compost Pile
Geothermal Line
The water is supplementally heated through a composting system, created from natural waste found around our family's farm. When heat is no longer needed for the fish tanks our compost will be removed and sold at the market!
In the summer, the water in our fish tanks are cooled through the use of a geothermal line, buried four to five feet underground! Completely renewable and sustainable!
